"In the heart of the Shark Bay World Heritage Region of Western Australia."
No one will ever forget their first view of the bay and the spectacular contrast of sky, crystal clear water, white sand beaches and dark red hinterland. A truly special place on earth.
The resort is self contained, generating its own electricity and desalinating large quantities of fresh water.
In the early 60's a pod of Bottle Nosed Dolphins began what has come to be a daily ritual of swimming into the clear shallows to delight visitors with their intelligence and grace. Those with a love of nature will delight at the huge variety of mammal and bird life, native flora and fauna, such as the Dugong. Over 10,000 of these sea dwelling mammals live in the protection of the Shark Bay Marine Nature Reserve. They are often seen near the resort.
Romantics will find hundreds of miles of deserted beaches to explore.
Swimming - The resort has its own fresh water pool, part of which is shaded. The magnificent white sandy beach stretches for miles on either side of the resort. Swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the bay. Snorkel gear available for guests.
Spa - Naturally warm water from our deep artesian bore flows continuously through the spa. This warm water (40 degrees) is rich in sulphur and other minerals. Some claim the waters cure their aches and pains.
Fishing - Bring your boat. The fishing is great, so are the blue manna crabs which can be easily caught offshore. Beach fishing is very popular. There is a boat ramp adjacent to the resort. Small boat fishing is safe and very rewarding.
Tennis/Volleyball - The resort offers a tennis court. Racquets, balls and volleyball set provided free for guests.
