Service: Staff were helpful in assisting us with local shopping and attractions
Cleanliness: The resort looked fantastic from the photos, especially the outside, however, it was quite dated on the inside. The drapes in our room were not functioning properly and had fallen off at the ends of the rods. Also, the carpet had stains and needed replacing. The beds were cozy and the furniture was ok.
Room: We had the double room, which was a 5 star room. It had a king bed in one room, a queen bed in another room and a sofa bed in the living room. The room was large enough. We had no view and were the first room at the top of the stairs so we got all the traffic on the path outside our room, which was really bad on the Saturday night and kept us up.
Facilities: The facilities were ok. There's a heated indoor pool. The spa is in a separate room away from the inside pool, which we thought was weird. It also had an outside pool which was freezing cold!
Location: Great location, just across from the lake and a couple of playgrounds.
Value for money: I thought our room was way overpriced for what we got. I would suggest asking for a room in the new wing because they were really nice, new, and had spas like ours.
Overall comments: I would recommend the hotel for the location, but don't expect 5 star like you get in the city hotels!
