Swansea Cottages is situated down a quiet laneway just around the corner from shops, restaurant and local attractions.  The cottages are set in a village like setting on 1 hectare of level ground and are all surrounded by fragrant cottage gardens. 

 The first cottages were built in 1990 and are designed to recapture the very essence of heritage architecture with dormer windows in some, rolled verandahs, corner quoins and colonial style windows all highlighted in rich heritage colours.

Swansea Cottages - Room Information.

Sherbourne Lodge

Sherbourne Lodge consists of five fully ensuited rooms, four at ground level and a luxurious attic style Spa Suite (in the attic). 

Each suite is superbly appointed and finished in lovely Tasmanian Blackwood. Tea and coffee along with a jug of fresh milk are provided to start you off upon your arrival.    

There are two family suites one which can sleep up to 4 persons, one suite has a queensize bed and bunks the other suite having a queensize bed and single bed.  Each family room has a bath with a shower over, the other two standard suites have shower cubicles. 

All suites have a remote TV, video dining suite and sofa to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.  Linen and towels are included along with electric blankets and cosy electric heating. 

The ultimate indulgence!

The luxury Spa Suite features beautiful timber ceilings, a 2 person Spa and colonial style 4 poster bed.  Spoil yourselves in this sensual attic style suite which occupies the whole top floor of Sherbourne Lodge. This suite features dormer windows and has its own quaint, seperate kitchenette. A full size remote TV and a video recorder are included to make your night one to remember. Cottage Features -

These unique, luxurious, fully self contained cottages include every modern convenience you need for a romantic weekend away or a family holiday.  Each warm and cosy cottage has a homely atmosphere with beautiful country decor.  Some feature log fires, timber bedroom ceilings or lacy canopies over the bed. Full stereo TV and home cinema package (DVD).  

The kitchens are luxuriously equipped with dish washers, microwaves, full sized cookers, all utensils, cutlery and crockery are included.  Each cottage has a dining table and chairs to seat 4 to 6 people. All of the cottages have full laundry facilities including automatic washing machines and tumble driers. 

There are 1,2 or 3 bedroomed cottages that are capable of sleeping up to 7 people.   Different bedding configurations are available to suit your needs.  

One cottage is fitted for disabled persons.

Ground floor accommodation applicable to all cottages except Spa Cottage

'Dove Cottage' -

2 bedrooms (1 Queen and 1 double with bunk over)

Complete with high ceilings, ornate cornices and ceiling roses help to make Dove a delight to stay in.

For the disabled traveller Dove has been built on level ground and is has suitable facilities for the disabled traveller including wheel in shower access, a shower chair, handrails wide doors.

'Bayview Cottage'

Spoil yourself in this 2 storey, 3 bedroomed styled cottage.

Capable of comfortably sleeping up to 7 people. The cottage has 2 master bedrooms, 2 televisions, videos including stereo television and home cinema downstairs. Bathrooms are found on each level of the cottage.

The bed rooms upstairs have timber attic style ceilings with the master bedroom featuring a two person Spa.  French doors lead out onto the private balcony where you can enjoy the sea views.

These beautifully decorated cottages are set in splendid cottage gardens. The aromatic delights of the season welcoming visitors at their entry, offer superb accommodation for the extended stay.
