Located in one of Tasmania's premier tourist towns with magnificent views and a peaceful location. The Mountain View Country Inn is situated in the beautiful historic town of Deloraine, midway between Devonport and Launceston.

Surrounded by lush farmlands, Deloraine is set against the backdrop of the western tiers, a majestic escarpment which leads up to Tasmania`s central highlands plateau. Water from the highland lakes form the Meander River which flows through Deloraine, giving it a wonderful river town atmosphere.

Deloraine has established itself as one of Australia`s foremost art and craft centres. Together with antique outlets, galleries and colonial architecture, Deloraine offers much to see and do.

Stephanie`s Restaurant offers first class meals of superbly prepared and presented Tasmanian fare at reasonable prices.

Our extensive breakfast menu can be served in rooms or dining room.

Visit the Walls of Jerusalem, Great Lakes, Cradle Mountain and Wild Caves. Deloraine is the centre for Tasmanian Arts and Crafts, and won the 1997 Tourism Award.

Directions:
35 minutes from either Devonport or Launceston. The motel is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Deloriane, a stroll on the riverbank, craft shops and art galleries. Easy driving to all northern tourist attractions, from the casino to Cradle Mountain.

There is a bus service that stops at Deloraine between Launceston and Devonport
Car hire is available with a large selection in either Launceston or Devonport or at the airports.

Distance from Airport:
The Launceston airport is only 40 minutes drive from the Mountain View Country Inn and the Devonport Airport and Abel Tasman Ferry Terminal is only a 30 minute drive away.
