Kangaroo Island

A mere hop off mainland South Australia, Kangaroo Island is a paradise of outstanding natural beauty that offers visitors spectacular scenery, pleasant, sheltered beaches and a rugged, wave-swept Southern Ocean coastline.

The Island is a haven for many species of wildlife, much of which is uncommon and extinct on the mainland. One third of the Island is given over to National and Conservation parks where even the casual visitor can catch a glimpse of the fascinating indigenous wildlife in its natural habitat.
