Restored to her former glory, classic racing yacht Enid is now sailing the waters of the Whitsundays.
Built in 1961, the 22m Enid is the latest in OzSail's fleet after a complete refit. The vessel spent 30 of her 42 years racing in Australia's famous yacht races, completing four Sydney-Hobarts and 15 Brisbane-Gladstone races before her $700,000 refit.
Enid is available for private charter; it also departs on Tuesdays and Saturdays for three-day, two-night crewed charters throughout the Whitsundays.
Charter highlights include sailing to Whitsunday Island, a bushwalk to the lookout over Hill Inlet, a day spent on Whitehaven Beach, followed by dinner under the stars off Hook Island.
Depending on conditions, the third day is spent sailing to either Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island for snorkelling or Nara Inlet on Hook Island for a bush walk to Aboriginal caves.
