Tranquility and unspoiled beauty

Hook Island Wilderness Resort is the second largest island of the tropical Whitsunday Islands, North Queensland, in the South Pacific Ocean on the edge of the Coral Sea. The resort is separated from Whitsunday Island by Hook Passage, a deep narrow channel frequented by fish, turtles, and whales.

How to get there:

Jetstar and Virgin Blue offer daily flights to Prosperine Whitsunday Coast Airport from major Australian gateways.

The boat (Voyager) is usually part of a three island hop.  This leaves Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach, at 9am so you'd need to be there at 8.30-8:45am to board to depart on time. Find the Voyager departure sign and you will be escorted to the boat which leaves from Arm M, Bay 17.

Depending on tides this will either travel through Whitehaven Beach and you will arrive at Hook Island at approx midday or come here first where you will arrive at 10:30am.  On the day of departure you will leave Hook at approx 2pm and travel via Daydream Island to arrive back at Abel Point at 5pm.*

*subject to change without notice so please confirm arrangements directly with the resort.  There is no guarantee you will visit these island or travel on this boat.
