The Farm
Myella is owned by the Eather family. The farm consists of 2600 acres of cattle grazing land, running 400 beef cattle. The closest town is 16km away, Baralaba - population 290 people.

The Horse Riding
We offer horses to suit all riders. You have the opportunity to groom, saddle and ride your horse through the wide open fields of Myella.

The Activities
Myella Farm Stay is the ideal country retreat. The itinerary is flexible and you can do as much or little as you like. Join in every day farm life or relax on the verandah of the guest house.

The Meals
Home-cooked meals are shared with the Eather family in their home or by the campfire. The family specialises in good country cooking. Meals are served buffet-style; you definitely won?t go hungry.

HOW TO GET THERE

By car: Myella is an easy one and a half hour drive from Rockhampton, on sealed roads.

Transfers: Myella will pick you up from Rockhampton at 6.30am. Phone to arrange a pickup point, from where ever you are in Rockhampton. Currently most guests are picked up from the bus station, YHA or the Ascot Hotel. The return at the end of your farmstay gets you into Rockhampton at 19.00pm.

Myella Farm Stay - Room Information.

Myella has won tourism awards for best budget accommodation and was highly commended for it?s unique accommodation.

The original homestead is clean and comfortable; featuring polished timber floors.

There is a central living area, a large shady verandah, TV, telephone, video library, laundry, email and swimming pool.

There are twins, doubles and rooms for three and there are no dormitories or bunk beds.

On occasions increased numbers are accommodated in camper-vans, tents and swags.

Sometimes the swags are used for camping out under the stars.
