Just a 12 minute drive north of Mackay takes you to the most relaxing holiday you'll ever have!  Blacks Beach is a delightful beach of golden sand with limited public access. The 6 km of secluded, golden sandy beach in front of the resort is fabulous for an early morning or late afternoon stroll, swimming, fishing or simply lazing in the sun.

For your privacy, the lawned beachfront area is ideal. The spectacular island views, BBQ's and picnic settings amongst coconut trees sets your holiday scene. Throughout the village, many areas have been set aside for you relax surrounded by native birds, majestic melaleuca trees, palms and tropical gardens.

If you are energetic, half court tennis and volleyball or on the run on the beach will be for you. Or try either of the two pools, spa (heated in winter), the recreation room with table tennis pool or video games or a book from our library. For the little kids there is a section in our library with books and games, outside there are swings and lots of lawn to play on and very little traffic to worry about.

Local activities

• Eungella National Park, Queensland's largest rainforest, has fantastic views and walks. See a platypus in their natural environment at Broken River !
• Golf - Visitors welcome at local courses.
• Reef Day Cruises - Fly to the Reef by Float Plane and see the Barrier Reef by air.
• Fishing - Hire a dinghy or fish straight off our beach, Mackay Harbour wall or one of the many tidal creeks.  Game fishing trips can also be arranged.
• Shopping / Weekend Markets - Mackay City Heart and various shopping centres have it all. On the weekend, visit the local market produce or just wander the City Heritage Trail and soak up some of Mackay's History.
