Fraser Island Hideaway is the only secluded private accommodation, 2.7 km north of Poyungan rocks between Eurong and Happy Valley. Approximately 1/3 the way up the island, it is very central to the most popular tourist attractions including Lake Boomajin, Central Station, Lake Mc Kenzie, Lake Wabby, The Maheno, The Pinnacles and Eli Creek.

Our position right on the Pacific Ocean hidden behind the first sand dune, is protected from any strong winds and provides ultimate privacy. Nestled in a valley surrounded by lawn, lush gardens and National Park, your accommodation is just 100 meters walk down the sand track to the beach.

Some of the latest in technology has been incorporated to provide the best accommodation available. We are on a remote island and conservation of resources is of great importance to us. We have solar panels and a generator to make our own electricity and pump our beautiful mineral water from the ground so whilst this new home looks like any other, it has to operate as energy efficiently as possible, which we are sure you will all appreciate and find very interesting as we try to fit into this beautiful environment.

Whilst other homes on Fraser Island still operate on 12volt lighting and gas fridges or limited 240volt power, at Fraser Island Hideaway you have the convenience of having someone attend to the generator, lights, water etc. plus the efficiency of 24 hr, 240 volt lighting, refrigeration and automatic washing machine.

Fraser Island Hideaway - Room Information.

Eco-friendly Fraser Island Hideaway being only a few years old, incorporates the latest technology to provide you with the best possible accommodation. We generate our own power with a large array of "solar" panels and backup generator.

Pure sand filtered fresh water is pumped from the ground and we are on hand to look after everything for you. A great fully equipped kitchen has all that you need, gas stove, two large 520l fridge/freezers and adjoins the dining and living areas.

Adjacent to this, is wide liveable veranda with a great BBQ and wok for the cooking enthusiast.

This home has three large bedrooms -
Bed 1 - 1 x Queen size
Bed 2 - 1 x Queen & 1 x single
Bed 3 - 1 x double and 4 x single bunk-beds
