**Fitzroy Island has closed their accommodation in order to under go a full refurbishment. The resort will reopen in April of 2008. Please ask us about alternative holiday destinations** Fitzroy Island is Raging Thunder's adventure Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef.

Fitzroy Island on the Great Barrier Reef has an ever growing reputation for adventure, fun and brilliant nightlife! The Raging Thunder Beach Bar is the place to be in the evenings after spending your day discovering the island.

There?s so much to do from a stroll through the National Park walking tracks, discovering breathtaking views of the island to snorkelling the fringing coral reefs.

Experience the wonders of diving, swim from the tropical beaches or simply laze by the pool whilst sipping on an icy cool drink.

There?s a multitude of things to choose from - you certainly won?t be bored on this island.

Walking Tracks & Hikes - We've got easy tracks and not so easy tracks to explore.
So why not pack some refreshments and take your time to really enjoy the island!

Fishing - Includes rod hire and tackle box - bait is available for purchase. 

Watersports - Hire out one of our Catamarans, Outriggers, Paddle Ski's.
Or enjoy a Glass Bottom boat tour of the reef. 

Aqua Scooter - New activity allowing you to snorkel or dive with assistance of the Scooter.

Adventure Accommodation

Your accommodation is informal and comfortable. Stay in the 2 bedroom Beach Cabins which have one queen bed and separate bunk bed.

Or, stay in our Beach Bunk Houses that sleep up to four people with share bathroom facilities.

Beach Bunkhouses (multiple share)  

Stay in our Beach Bunkhouses and you're just 30 metres from the beach.
The Bunkhouses are set under a canopy of shady palm trees with hostel-style rooms that sleep four people. Bunkhouse accommodation has share bathrooms.

• Bunkhouse multi-share includes bed linen & blankets only, towels are available for hire.
• Bunkhouse sole use and twin-share includes bed linen, blankets & towels.

Resort dining is available for meals. Meals are not included in accommodation rates.
Boat transfers are not included in accommodation rates.
 

Beach Cabins (per person per night) 
 
Your accommodation is informal and comfortable. Stay in the Beach Cabins and enjoy spectacular views across Welcome Bay.

Each cabin has two bedrooms, with one queen bed and separate bunk beds. Ceiling fans, television and shaded verandahs make the cabins an ideal tropical retreat.
