With that Agnes Water/ Town of 1770 is known as the ‘Birth Place Of Queensland’, located along the stretch of sub-tropical surf coastline between Bundaberg and Gladstone it is one of the closer points of departure for a visit to the Great Barrier Reef .
Flying: Catch a flight to either the Fraser Coast, Rockhampton, Bundaberg or Gladstone, then it’s your choice to either hire a car or jump on a Greyhound bus.
Driving: From the South follow the signs to Bundaberg, after passing through the town of Childers on the Bruce Hwy. from which you follow all the signs to Agnes Water/1770… From North you take a left off the Bruce Hwy. at Miriam Vale and follow the signs to Agnes Water/1770.
Coach: Greyhound Australia run daily between Bundaberg and Agnes Water/1770.
Train: Train or Tilt train stops at Bundaberg, Gladstone and Miriam Vale. (The Tilt Train is a fast and comfortable way to travel.)
