The Green Mango Hideaway is tucked away up in the coastal country and shielded from the tourist crowds, yet within easy reach of the beaches, rainforests, shops and restaurants.

Situated in lush gardens with abundant birdlife, it features a sparkling palm-fringed saltwater pool and Thai-style bathhouse with spa. From the moment you walk down the canopy-covered path, you?ll be enveloped in the magic of Green Mango Hideaway. The muslin-draped beds, and hammocks beckoning on shady verandahs promise a memorable and relaxing holiday.

Green Mango accommodates just 8 guests in 4 rooms, 3 in the house and the separate Dairy Bails. All rooms have ensuites and private verandahs.

Tariff includes a delicious country breakfast with juice, fresh and stewed fruit, a cooked dish such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, and home-baked bread.

Byron Bay, with its fabulous beaches, shops and cafes, is just a 15-minute picturesque drive away, and the many scenic attractions of the area (conveniently documented for guests) are within easy reach, making Green Mango Hideaway the perfect base for exploring this glorious region.

The Green Mango story

Once upon a time, Susie and Mick Upton, the welcoming hosts of Green Mango Hideaway, lived in England. For a change, they moved to Sydney, where Mick worked in the computer industry, and Susie organised the offices of people like Greenpeace. After several years, they got itchy feet, hopped in their camper van, and set off to explore Australia. Months later, they reached a Byron beachside camping ground in a sub-tropical rainforest, and thought to themselves: why go further?

So they popped into a real-estate agent and ended up buying what is now Green Mango Hideaway, searching high and low to find appropriate Oriental furnishings to enhance its Balinese-style design. Now their country dream come true can be yours, too.

Green Mango Hideaway - Room Information.

Accommodation comprises three guest rooms, and ?The Bails?.

The two downstairs rooms each have a queen-size bed, en suite and French doors opening on to a private section of verandah.

Upstairs, a spacious and romantic room awaits, with a king-size bed, en suite, sitting area and wide balcony overlooking the pool.

Set apart from the house is the beautifully renovated Dairy Bails, with bedroom, bathroom and large & colourful sitting room: our most private accommodation. Enjoy a drink on your own timber deck whilst watching the sun set behind the valley.
