Service: Very personal service, with only 5 suites I suppose it would be hard not to. Very friendly all round and nothing was too much trouble. It was also great being able to chat to the chef while he made us breakfast!
Cleanliness: Azabu in general was very clean and well maintained. Our room was spotless on entry
Room: Probably the highlight of Azabu, Our room looked onto some really nice rainforest. It was great to be able to completely open the room up to the rainforest, it give a real sense of having an outdoor shower with no one around.
Facilities: The day spa would be the main attraction here, and its easy to see why. I don't know anyone that doesn't like a good massage occasionally! Otherwise the pool and deck is great. Buf apart from that, it is a small secluded place so you don't get the big hotel facilities - a welcome change if you ask me.
Location: Azabu is about a 7 - 10 minuite drive from the centre of Byron Bay. If you are planning a walk into Bryon for dinner it would be a hastle (maybe im just lazy!) the road to Azabu is a dirt road so keep that in mind. But I think the main attraction to this place is that it is out of the way and you do get a private and secluded place to stay.
Value for money: It can be a tad expensive. But you will find most quality accommodation in byron bay to be the same. Overall you get what you pay for.
Overall comments: I would highly recommend Azabu. Thinking back to my holiday I have nothing but pleasant memories. Azabu is a perfect romantic getaway or anniversary destination. If your after something personal and different give this a go, you won't be dissapointed!
